Ahh, yes! Manual removal of this irritating, money-grubbing, pest called “Vista Antivirus 2008″ is the way to go. It took a few minutes, and it was easier and faster than attempting other “free” software like Spyhunter. Thanks for the direction.

I’m having difficulty removing the .dll files. I’ve tried everything – on this blog and elsewhere. I tried cmd –> del xxx.dll. I got an error message about authorization. I search for it and found it under windows/system32, i tried changing the .dll to .doc and deleting. It didn’t work.
